Quickly growing in popularity, fused glass pieces are taking the world of art by storm. Two or more pieces of glass are melted in a kiln for this artistic process. They are either allowed to fuse, or they can be melted until the glass slumps over a form. If a particular shape is desired, such as a cylinder, the artist allows the pieces to get hot enough that they can be poured into a mold. Each of these methods of fusing glass together creates new and different work of art.
